Overview

Power your future with Qualus as our Senior Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer actively engages in company-wide efforts to drive the Quality culture of Qualus. They strategically align with on-going business imperatives and help facilitate data-driven decisions by leadership for continuous improvement. The primary support functions include but are not limited to: process development and improvement initiatives; incident management; document management; project/job independent assessments; and metrics collection/analysis/reporting. Must be able to work independently in primary focus areas, as assigned by the Director of Quality.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with organization stakeholders to develop and/or improve Operations Manual processes leading to a positive and measurable impact on the overall performance of the service-based company
  • Lead Incident Analysis Teams in accordance with established procedures aligned with principles of Advanced Error Reduction in Organizations (AERO).
  • Conduct trending and systemic analysis of Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Reportable Incidents using MS software products and other business intelligence tools. Present results to leadership.
  • Participate in the development of Quality processes and procedures and support the continuous improvements efforts related to these documents.
  • Partner with Operations and Support Services Leaders to accomplish Quality objectives and build value for Qualus, its valued client base and owners.
  • Oversee the routine management and improvements of the Qualus incident tracking tool, iTrak.
  • Interface with clients (internal/external), as required, to ensure quality expectations are achieved.
  • Support operational efforts to qualify subcontractors in accordance with documented standards.
  • Participate in contractual reviews to assess Quality requirements, identify risks, and provide specific recommendations on mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and take ownership of Quarterly objectives and Weekly To-Dos, as assigned, with objective to complete on-time; be prepared to discuss and contribute to solutions for identified issues in the weekly meetings. Understand principles of EOS-Traction business operating system.
  • Be solutions partner with Operations Leaders to implement processes and systems that aid operational performance and scale with the business.
  • Provide Green/Black Belt facilitation support for company-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide daily direction, as assigned by Director of Quality, for junior-level Quality Engineers (I and II).
  • Understand IEEE, ISO, and other applicable quality standards and regulations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • MS Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Document Management, Data visualization software.
  • Proven skills in communicating effectively, facilitating group processes; and technical writing.
  • Demonstrated capabilities working in a transactional process environment; and ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships with client and vendor.
  • Demonstrated competency of quality principles, process improvement functions and tools, organizational effectiveness, and statistical analyses.
  • Experience with Tableau, and/or Deltek, preferred.
  • Team leadership abilities.
  • Bachelor of Science degree required.
  • ASQ Quality Improvement Associate or higher.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher quality professional.
  • Human Performance and Operational Performance Excellence Experience.
  • ISO 9001 certification experience.
