The primary function of this role is to provide technical support for incoming requests via telephone, email, and self-service portal inquiries from all Qualus offices and those who work in the field.  Under leadership of the IT Supervisor, the IT Specialist supports Qualus on-site and remote users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, connectivity, performance, and operational problems in our IT infrastructure. This is a customer facing role and the individual in this position must have a service-oriented approach when working with other facets of the organization that drive our highly successful business. This position may require after-hours work as determined by needs of the business.


  • Manage Tier 1 Service Desk inquiries, updates, status, and escalations using an online ticketing system and phone support
  • Provides support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktops, laptops, and network equipment
  • Escalates issues and acts as a liaison between users and appropriate upper tier support if unable to resolve problems or remove barriers to resolution
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in a fast-growing environment by being receptive to change
  • Assist with modifications/upgrades to systems, networks and infrastructure and be available for overtime as required to meet business needs
  • Identifies repetitive patterns of technical issues, resolution opportunities and communicates suggestions to leadership to increase organizational performance, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms and provide troubleshooting for remote staff
  • Delivers world class customer service by positively engaging with each customer in a professional and friendly manner to ensure a consistent high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with provisioning, imaging and configuration of new equipment when needed to be deployed to internal users
  • Assist with managing hardware and software inventory as requested
  • Assist with implementation and support of IT projects as needed
  • Possesses proficient knowledge in troubleshooting various technologies such as hardware, software, connectivity, and mobile devices
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an IT Service Desk, call center, or customer facing role
  • Windows 10 system and server administration
  • O365 administration (Exchange on prem and cloud, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)


  • Azure configuration and administration
  • Experience with or strong knowledge of VMware, Single Sign-On (SSO), 2FA/MFA.
  • Experience programming VoIP telephony systems
  • AutoCAD and designer applications
  • Wi-Fi/AP configuration, security, and support
  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • BitLocker or other encryption technologies
  • Carbon Black or other end point protection
