Power your future with Qualus in our Protection and Control department as a Protection & Control Engineer II in 633 Chestnut Street, Suite 200, Chattanooga, TN 37450.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering design packages for protective relaying systems at 69kV to 500kV substations, power plants, and switchyard facilities which consist of being responsible for scoping workshop(s), conceptual design meetings, execution planning, and on-site visit(s) on projects of new installation & modification of station expansion, emergency replacements, obsoleted power equipment, and full panel replacements.
  • Create, and revise one-line & three-line diagrams, AC & DC schematic, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, cable lists, SCADA points lists, material specifications, and bill of materials as part of the engineering design process.
  • Perform final design review on protection and control engineering projects to confirm company’s quality control processes are followed for all design packages.
  • Responsible for verifying that deliverables comply with customer standards/guidelines, and applicable design requirements using software tools.  

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and one year of experience as a Protection & Control Engineer II, or a related position.
