Position Overview

Power Your Future with Qualus as our Training and Development Manager! Located in our Lake Mary, Florida office, you will work closely with Leadership, HR Business Partners, and the broader Training and Development team to provide learning solutions that generate measurable results and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within Qualus. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing learning solutions for internal development programs as well as business specific and enterprise opportunities while ensuring alignment to the global learning strategy. 

 

This position plans, develops, and directs training programs, professional development programs, mentorship/coaching programs, and facilitates implementation of change management initiatives and reviews current employee development programs to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. Ideal candidates will be excellent communicators with the ability to deliver training enthusiastically and professionally to employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with business leaders, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to identify L&D strategy and needs.
  • Research and develop training objectives, outlines, and educational curriculum, including course handouts.
  • Ensure that the training curriculum integrates sound operating practices and meets or exceeds industry best practices for professional education.
  • Develop effective eLearning instructional design and learner motivation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure required certification requirements are established and achieved for Qualus personnel.
  • Work as a liaison between new employees, supervisors, and management to ensure the new employee has tools, training, and understanding to be successful within Qualus.
  • Develop and manage implementation of annual and multi-year plans for training programs, including development and delivery, that are designed to fulfill all training objectives, and to assure successful start-up of new programs.
  • Develop and cultivate a training culture that reflects the value of safety, ethics, sharing of expertise, customer service, continuous improvement, encouragement of professional development, and cultural awareness.
  • Track and report regularly on the department's results and effectiveness. Works closely with various departments to establish metrics, scorecards, and reporting criteria. Ensure trainers’ skills are appropriately evaluated regularly.
  • Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Train and coach managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • Manage and monitor Qualus employees’ compliance with training and certification requirements.
  • Design and develop training programs, training course evaluations, training calendars, and training classes.
  • Ensure alignment with Talent strategies and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be used to measure effectiveness of solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Organizational Psychology or related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications in learning and development are a plus.
  • 5+ years of learning and development experience
  • Proficiency with Articulate software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory, principles and practices of program development and administration and knowledge of current developments, literature, and sources of information in the field of vocational education, power industry, safety, and employee training development.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Event Management experience supporting training events and programs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-Learning platforms, and virtual learning tools a plus.
  • Experience in global program management is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage employee relations and change management initiatives.
