Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus is our Specialized Field Services department as an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative provides support to the sales team about specification verification, pricing, and proposal presentations to help further enhance the company’s position in the market.  The inside sales role will provide support across all the C&I operating locations and could be providing support in any region. 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting sales of company products and services through the development, execution, and administration of quotes and proposals.
  • Utilizes CRM tool as necessary to manage client and quote-related activity and assigned tasks for supporting the proposal process.
  • Reviews specifications and works with Sales and Operations to determine the best solution to meet specification, obtain proper material and labor estimates and prepare cost estimates accordingly.  
  • Provide the necessary support and oversight in the development of presentations and quotations and putting together technical collateral, schedules and other submittals as needed.
  • Develops and maintains a knowledge base library of reference materials for use in preparing proposals, presentations, and technical collateral.  
  • Performs function of quote and order clarification including interpretation of technical specifications and electrical drawings as they relate to the product/offer being provided.  
  • Participating in quote meetings and proposal review and approval calls.
  • Assist Sales when needed on pre-bid job walks to ascertain job details necessary for quote development and job execution
  • Engages with Purchasing, Maintenance, and Engineering Departments regarding products and services and performs campaign management for a defined territory or client base.  Follows the best practices of the selling process and the CRM system.
  • Assists Sales and Operation with required forecasting activity.  Uses and maintains the CRM data concerning leads, targets, accounts, contacts, and opportunities on clients and prospective clients, 
  • Ensures customer/project information is gathered for accurate and timely quotes.
  • Actively seeks out customer feedback and facilitates a better understanding of customer needs and communicates internally.
  • Assist sales teams as needed regarding key account contacts, researching customer needs, and creating high value solutions to establish long term, ongoing relationships, and referral streams for new business development opportunities and to ensure a high percentage of sales closures.
  • Create timely reports to include sales activity, quotation activity, trip reports, and expense reports. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-5 years sales or sales support experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree, BSEE or BSME highly desired.  
  • Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English.
  • Ability to properly construct written proposals.
  • Ability to use Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of CRM preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability.
