This involves interpreting designs from engineers and converting them into detailed drawings for engineering projects. The job requires proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software, as well as knowledge of drafting standards and techniques. The drafting technician may work on a variety of projects, such as electrical schematics or structural components. Drafters also collaborate with other members of a project team to ensure that designs are accurate and meet project requirements.
